"We first featured Kid Adrift back in June after hearing it on Huw Stephens' Radio 1 show. The reaction to Red Green And Blue was wholly positive for the Glaswegian artist, with labels, publishers, lawyers and radio picking up on our feature. Enthusiastic support has come from most Radio 1 specialist DJs, starting with Vic Galloway and also Nick Grimshaw and Zane Lowe. His debut EP LED Illusions is out this week on Scottish singles club label Euphonios, and this new track is among those which he performed at BBC Introducing's Maida Vale session for Electric Proms season. DARKHORSE

Hailing from Bath, DarkHorse are a classic British rock band - old school V8 power married with bags of attitude, arena posturing and riffs to die for The band originally formed in 2004 when brothers Tim, Will and Ollie went to see The Darkness with school pal Tom and decided that a band was the quickest way to getting laid. Skateboards were replaced by guitars, drums and snakeskin boots and the boys soon took to the stage with a set of AC/DC covers. Five years on and DarkHorse have developed into a fearsome beast – riffs, attitude, low slung guitars and a killer live set. Kick out the jams and grow your hair, bust out the aviators and get ready to ROCK! LAWRENCE ARABIA is the pseudonym of James Milne, born 1981 in Christchurch, NZ, former member of the Brunettes, the Ruby Suns and one time touring member of Okkervil River. James has also produced music for film and theatre and wrote music for the indie film hit, Eagle vs Shark.Chant Darling is the eagerly awaited follow up to Lawrence Arabia’s self titled debut album and the debut by his band The Reduction Agents, both of which were nominated for several Bnet awards (New Zealand’s public voted alternative radio awards). James has also been nominated for a NZ APRA Silver Scroll Award.
Chant Darling is Lawrence Arabia’s second album, hewn out of the dual cliches of difficult second album syndrome and the Antipodean relocation to London. Recorded over 18 months in a studio in Stockholm, three flats in London, a garden shed in Port Chalmers, a car club in Wellington and a studio in Auckland, Chant Darling is a modern pop masterpiece.
The sugar hits of harmony, sweet melody and lush orchestration will set you reeling as the witty and sometimes forlorn tales of indolence, longing and romantic misadventure hit home where it hurts.

Bizali have been a gigging foursome since 2004. With festivals such as Glastonbury, Latitude, Larmer Tree and Hong Kong’s ‘Clockenflap 2008’ under their belts, having represented England in the ‘Global Battle of the Bands’ at the grand ‘Astoria’ and featured on a BBC comedy show ‘The Wrong Door’ they have a number of impressive achievements to brag about. But Bizali are not interested in the past anymore, their focus is solely on the future; their new album 'Dance Yourself Alone' and fresh new sound.
The New Album ‘Dance Yourself Alone’Written to the back drop of the bands double edged heartache this album is an emotional roller coaster of vulnerability and blind rage. Making their live debut little over a year ago, Kill Cassidy have already shared stages with the likes of Make Model, Red Light Company, Joyzipper, Fighting With Wire, The Last Republic, Little Death, Everything Everything, Findo Gask, The Chapman Family, Vagabond (megalolz), Lowline, Maths Class, White Belt Yellow Tag and You Love Her Coz She's Dead. Since their conception, the band have played shows, wrote some giant pop songs, shared many in jokes and once got ousted to an annex of a farm house after misbehaving at a party...

AMELIA TUCKER

You may wish to know who and what you might be listening to.
at 23 amelia is already a confident writer, producer, and performer of her own songs.
the songs come influenced by a motley mix of early listening including pink  floyd, radiohead, kate bush and the beach boys. with a love of the processes and techniques involved in recording and production, amelia has been doing  this herself for years and most of the recordings you will hear were done entirely at home.
now privileged to be accompanied onstage and occasionally in recordings  by "the backing band to dream of", including Dave Burbidge on drums, Sam  Stockley on Keyboards, Joe Allen on bass and Calvin talbot on guitar, she can now accompany her vocal meanderings with more literal meanderings about the stage between piano and guitar.

BABEL

Babel like "Bay-bull". Not "bar-bell" or "babble".

Born in Bristol in the UK, Babel started out all kind of small, folky and a bit shy but then fell in dirty love with pounding tamborines and volume knobs.

Songs led to concerts, concerts led to the recording two self-financed EPs, 'The Golden Acre EP' and 'The Arc EP'. Both were sold from tables in tiny venues. Some of which reached places far beyond our own postcode.

In 2007, People Tree Records of London, UK released the majority of our two EPs to the world on one reasonably priced compact disc & weighty slab of vinyl. The CDs have long gone but there's still some vinyl around if you look hard enough. Or iTunes of course..

After more than 70 gigs, 3 line up changes and nearly six years at the helm FIRSTOFTHEGIANTS are all now very old. Apart from Adam who is very unfairly in his early 20s.

Biographies are terrible terrible things. Who, quite frankly, cares where we all come from and what our CD collections are like? Well, I can tell you that I am not entirely sure what Gav's CD collection looks like, but I imagine it has lots of Nada Surf and other cool stuff. Michael has a lot of 90s dance compilations. Mine's not bad but then people may not agree with dedicating an entire section to the back catalogue of These Animal Men. Adam, I imagine, has a lot of loud shouty stuff.

So what more do you really need to know apart from that we're an indie band, in the truest sense of the word? We have our own label called LittleThink and we put on some gigs every now and then. DIY to the core! Until we get the chance to sell out that is!! Our first album is released in September 2009. Bloomin' exciting that is, I tell you.

At just 19, Lisa Mitchell is shaping up to be a new kind of singer-songwriting protégé. She’s a teen, and the music is pop, but rather than teen-pop, this talented young woman is fast finding a voice all of her own. It’s candy-coated folk-pop with a fierce and often dark heart.

Her music embodies the tenderness of Laura Marling, the wordplay of Regina Spektor and the free spirit of Feist, but Lisa nonetheless inhabits a magical world that few other artists are exploring.

Born in England to a Scottish father, she moved to Australia at three years old. She grew up in something of a musical timewarp, grateful to her father for raising her on Bob Dylan (“the best man in the world”), Cat Stevens and Van Morrison. All the while finding obsessions of her own, like Bright Eyes, or The Killers, whose ‘Hot Fuss’ album “got me through Year 10 at high school.”

All of these influences put a burgeoning talent as a singer-songwriter through a unique new filter, and made a rich and expressive instrument...
