Shipwrecked and Friendly Records presents: The Shipbuilders + Cow + Campfire Social @ The Louisiana Bristol

Fusing the chaos of The Pogues and Galaxie 500 with the melody of The La's and the weirdness of early Coral, The Shipbuilders' brand of 'gypsy surf rock' is hard to pigeon hole but none the less irrepressible.
Having built up a large following on Merseyside and playing festivals such as Kendal Calling and championed by BBC 6 Music's Chris Hawkins, the band are due to both release their debut album, 'Spring Tide' in late 2021 via Mai 68 Records and take their club night 'Shipwrecked' around the country.
"Liverpool's finest gypsy-surf-rock since.. well nobody!" -
With numerous positive reviews under their belt, the band have built up a steady following across the North West and North Wales and their live shows often draw comparisons with Grandaddy, Pavement and Dinosaur Jr.
Having recently signed with MAI 68 Records, COW released their first single with the label in April 2021 and have an EP ready for release in the Autumn of 2021.
“Their lyrics are filled with resentment, a justified fury at the world around them, their songs are filled with glorious solos and feedback, it’s life-affirming stuff”
Combining heart-thumping melodies with tender lyrics and anthemic choruses, Campfire Social have taken their brand of indie-folk around the world - quite literally, having been a part of Belle & Sebastian's Boaty Weekender Cruise in 2019. Firm favourites of BBC Wales' Adam Walton, the band are working on new material, due to be released imminently via Mai 68 Records.

Show starts at 7:30pm.
