Barbara Presents:
Barbara @ The Louisiana Bristol

Barbara live at The Louisiana, Bristol. Friday, 15th May 2026.

With support from The 85ers.

“Barbara are one of the best groups about. Live they’re great, and their songs too. Clever and melodic. The Babs are fab!” Paul Weller

“Barbara are wonderful. I love their songs and their humour. We need more Barbara in our lives!” Chris Difford (Squeeze)

Charming chamber pop from Brighton group Barbara. Inspired by 1970s greats - the Kinks, ABBA, ELO - Barbara make classic, irresistible pop music with a literary approach. Barbara have previously toured with Paul Weller, The Divine Comedy, Haircut One Hundred, Kid Creole & the Coconuts and Dean Friedman.

There’s something for everyone in Barbara’s sound: 70s US AM radio, a dash of English music hall, the effortless catchiness of a Broadway musical, a sprinkling of sequinned power pop, luscious Disney strings and glorious golden harmonies.

And please… don’t forget to dance!

“They are so up my street ... really tight songwriting, very poptastic!” Neil Hannon on Barbara

"Barbara are an insanely talented band with an innate sense of melody and arrangement ... The ambitious scope and toe tapping immediacy of their sound belies their tender years." Phill Jupitus

The 85ers are a sea shanty group made up of 5 active sea going lifeboat crew from RNLI Portishead. Fully acapella, they sing a wide range of shanties. In 2023 The 85ers sung for the King at the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle and last year they sang at in the Great Hall at Stormont in Belfast and at the Remembrance service in Paddington.
