ACIDFEST started as a 3-day festival in Iceland back in 2022. It's a travelling psych fest curated by psychedelic visionaries Thee Lucifer Sams from Liverpool, who took this concept around the UK and occasionally the world (besides Iceland, it also had an instalment in Austin, Texas during SXSW 2023).
ACIDFEST BRISTOL marks the third time we hit Bristol, and if you've been to one of our events before you know you can't miss this one featuring psychedelic visionaries Thee Lucifer Sams' sonic rollercoaster; Oscillator, an amazing psych trio offering exciting, chaotic psych; Madonovan, the best shoegaze artist you've never heard of before, and Dominoes, a brilliant, solo artist who's equal parts Ivor Cutler and Syd Barrett. Rich in melody, ideas and whimsy, you are sure to enjoy his set.
ACIDFEST also features a killer, exclusive psych playlist to keep you in the mood before and after each act, as well as trippy visuals to create an unique atmosphere.It is more than just a "gig", but a true happening. This is what the Liverpool Psychedelic Society always offers at our events: an unique experience, something that the mainstream is unable to offer, truly grassroots and open to all.
This is not about any "scene", we just create our own culture and everyone is welcome to enjoy... so come and join the society!
